Welcome to DSConnect: the study association for JADS PDEng.
Born on the 30th of January 2019, we are still very young, but rapidly growing and developing.
The association was founded because, above all, we value our PDEng community: our trainees, our alumni, staff, the JADS environment and building,
and all the amazing people we get to meet and work with during our projects. While we grow larger each year, we hope that we can remain connected and
keep our community intact.
Apart from being a guardian of our warm and personal atmosphere, we aim to make new connections by organizing events such as workshops, lunch-lectures,
and hackathons. Organized together with businesses and alumni, this is a great way of exchanging knowledge.
As our statutes state, our official purpose is to:
"… represent the interests of trainees and alumni of the Professional Doctorate in Engineering program Data Science at JADS"
Mainly, we will organize social activities and workshops for you. So that both new trainees feel welcome when they join, and alumni whenever they return. We are still working on a forum to share activities. In the meantime, e-mail, Whatsapp, and Slack will have to do :)...

Organize a brainstorming session together with our trainees! Their input can help you on your way.
Lunch lectures
Interested in meeting a group of young, international, talented people that will be graduating within two years?
Meet the trainees during a lunch-lecture, where you explain what opportunities your company offers, and how a post-master Data Scientist fits in your team.
Hackathons
Many of our trainees participate in hackathons, and often with great succes!
Why not organize one for yourself? If you are interested in solving a real problems with real data,
you can contact us personally.
